~ warning for pastel lovers: post contains colourexplosion ~
Last weekend I decorated this notebook as a gift for my friend Tineke
she turned 30 ~ smile ~
on my request she told me she would love something pink, green, a lot of flowers and some birds
detail: she did not know what was going to be created in pink and green, with flowers and birds :-)
I used Victorian die-cuts and HouseDoctor wrapping paper
together with left-over-paper-bits and vintage ribbons
a little painting here and there for the finishing touch...
What specific part do you like about it?
Do you think I should plan to create more notebooks?
available in different colourschemes of course
~ hurray for pastel lovers, if you're still there... ~
I would love to get your opinion!
Merci !!!!!!

ReplyDeleteWow, dat ziet er geweldig uit!
ReplyDeleteIk zou zeggen: voor herhaling vatbaar.
I very much like this type of collage making. I think my favorite part is the top 3rd of the front, with paisleys, flowers, lace and shabby chic NOTE label. I also lik ethe big flowers on teh polka dot green on te front. It really catches your eye. Well, i like everything about it. Experiment more. I would love to see. I might look like an easy job but I know from my own experience that it is not that easy to get the right "flow" and balance in a vivid collage like this. Well done, Maaike. PiP Studio makes this type of design looking fab, but she uses more bright colours and is completely excentric. MIxing EVERYTHING. And that works to. Sky is the limit. Have no fear:D.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty and unique!

Hi Maaike
ReplyDeleteI love it for several reasons: because pink & green is my favourite combination of colours; because I love collage in all its forms; and because I love the vintage images you've used!
Yes, definitely make more of these :-)
