Girly Girl Blanket


a new blanket in the making

I am working on it every day with love

to be able to finish it soon




there are two things totally new to this design

well, new to me that is

one is the mixed color yarn I never used before in my designs





second are the bobbles on this girly blanket

I love them so much!

to make them, to touch them, all pure joy and fun

they make me smile






all coming together nicely

for a very special girl that is very soon to be born





to say I enjoy working on this blanket

especially in our garden in the warm and friendly August sun

is just a big understatement

    Very nice indeed! I love the effect from the multicolor yarn. It gives me a feeling of rag rugs, which I love. You are doing very well dear. Staying busy. Be careful with your hands, elbows, shoulders, wrists... Wish I could crochet as much but I am staying with small projects. Saving my arm... Still. Kramar

    Oh, I am so in love with this one. The colours are amazing, but it is the bobbles that I love the most. Babies LOVE bobbles. Mine will sit for hours poking them with his little fingers, trying to pinch them, learning all those fine motor skills. Such a clever idea to incorporate in a blanket. This is a winner, Maaike!

    Prachtige deken!!!! Zelf ben ik ook aan zoiets bezig, maar dan met meerdere kleuren. Leuk om te doen! En, je hebt een nieuwe volger hoor. Ik vind je blog erg leuk!
