Excitement

last week was full of exciting events ~ it started with the release of Gatherings The White Issue on Monday, I gave a crochet class on Wednesday to four lovely ladies and we had a wonderful time sharing this craft. it was a week full of trips to the post office to ship lovely yarn orders for the shop, and full of lovely packages I received in the mail. totally unexpected a handmade dummy from dear Jenn and my order of notebooks from Tomy. I will take more pictures and show them in a close up later this week. I also started working on one of my new resolutions; reading. not necessarily novels, but books instead of magazines. I started with Decorate by Holly Becker and stopped and stared at this perfect quote on page 6 for a while:

but. the most exciting thing last week was the arrival of our new furry buddy, Floyd. since Friday he is our chocolate lab. we are both so happy with him! he is eager to learn, cute and playful, funny and makes us laugh, and doing very good on the house training. to give him some comfort in the night, I crocheted a hot water bottle cover for him. if you are interested, I will do a little write up of the pattern soon. since he is still a baby, he sleeps quite a lot during the day which is great because it gives me time to write blog posts and work on patterns. other than that, he is one perfect little bundle of distraction and joy for both of us.
