LavenderLove

lavender is one of my favorites

the flower, the color, the scent... I love it all

last year I made these little lavender bags by hand

this weekend I was looking for something in our closet
and look what I found...

...lavender bag number three!
I made it a few years ago and totally forgot about it

it is made of the reserve button part of fiance's waisted shirt, boyfriend back then

this cute, little, not so perfect hand-stitched-thing made me smile

it turns out long before I discovered the sewing machine
I have been sewing lavender bags made of old shirts

what's new?! some things never change
and I like that

what old habit have you picked up lately?

~ love ~

  3. Lovely! How do yuo dry lavender again? I forgot. Lately I picked up designing websites, blogs, postcards and logos again. Gah, I love to do that. And it's a nice change from my every day job (being a webeditor).

  4. I love lavender, too! The shirt recycling idea is great! I don't know, maybe patchwork is an old habit with me. After some time of mainly making clothes I'm most drawn to patchwork at the moment.

  5. Lke Eva (above) I'm very much into patchwork at the moment, and also discovering the joy of hand embroidery. Your little hearts are just beautiful and the handstitch detail is wonderful.

I will be making a couple of lavender hearts later today, for my Mum, and will do some embroidery on them too - yours have inspired me.

  7. I'm back to crochet and knitting, 2 long lost loves :) though with a different touch, I'm crocheting with colored acrylic yarns instead of white and bege mercerized cotton...
I'm also a big fan of lavender sachets, my drawers are full of them! Yours are really sweet and they mean the world...
