quite proudly I present to you my latest design and the first edition in the Holland Series: Delft Blue
named after and inspired by the world famous dishware from Delft, the Netherlands. all the lovely little squares, the ombre edging and rattle... I love the relatively plain design of this set. after finishing the Miami series, I really enjoy making a series of blankets and baby items that are themed according to my home country.
and of course I am very happy to have found the cutest little baby model, who was very willing to show you how comfortable this blanket is. also new in the pictures is my vintage pram of the British make Silver Cross, from 1980 and in such a perfect condition. both the pictures with the baby and the pram aim to give you a better perspective of the size of the blanket, and provide you with suggestions of how to use it.
this complete blanket and rattle set will be for sale at the Tradition of Christmas Fair next Saturday
the pattern for the set is available here
and the complete crochet kit of pattern and yarn is available here
all my patterns are available in both English and Dutch, but I am working on making my complete Etsy shop bilingual too. both listings I uploaded today and a few more items are already available in Dutch, just click 'see this listing in Dutch' in the top right corner
a very happy weekend to you!
You and I made something very similar to show today. My version is here: http://mlissabeth.blogspot.com/2012/11/gingham-baby-blanket.html
ReplyDeleteI like the white on the outside, but I had less of that then the other two colors.
Weer inspiratie opgedaan :)
Wonderful! It is very similar than one I made in January. I love granny squares and gingham. Really nice!!!

Hello there!
ReplyDeleteI love Delft Blue colour Delft porcelain.
I had a British Silver Cross from 6o´s! So elegant!
Your model is so cute :)
The baby blanket so beautiful!
Have a nice weekend,
Ana Maria
Hoi!
ReplyDeleteNice, it is almost a gingham thingie, which I love!
Beautiful Blanket and Beautiful Baby! I think perhaps your pram is a little older than the '80's because my Mother bought hers in 1968,when my little-est sister was born. It was one of the new 'modern' models, as opposed to those older chunkier types, which are like gold to buy these days!Lovely little rattle too.Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteHet is een prachtige deken geworden Maaike en wat een lieve baby!
ReplyDeleteFijne zondag!
