are you enjoying your weekend?
it is beginning to look a lot like winter here in Canada
temperatures around -10 C, snow and bright sunny days ~ I love this weather
~
warm inside our home I started a new project, my first in 2012
do you remember these lovelies I found in New York last Fall?
I love the flower pattern so much
I am trying to transfer it to a yarn project
so I took my colored pencils and draw out a pattern... to crochet!
it looks a lot like an embroidery pattern and I might even embroider the rose one day
but now I am making tiny crochet squares and plan to make them into a cushion cover or small blanket
it is a try out, so I will see what I end up making ~ smile
and it was about time I started crocheting again
it feels good to be working on a new, fresh project
and enjoying the flowers and beautiful sunny days at the same time
I love how the sun reflects through the icicles
but I must admit
my last knitting project is not yet finished
although I am coming close to finishing this shawl
after this pink part, there is one more white and one more grey part to go, and then I can start wearing it!
don't these knitting and crochet projects make a perfect match?
wishing you a happy creative Sunday too
Oh..I love this weather too!! We are 10 today...but still no snow.... : ( ....I love your colors and what a wonderful idea to do the crochet pillow that way ..I'd never thought of that! Like puzzle pieces!! Enjoy your cozy day!!
ReplyDeleteI love your scarf already, the colors are so nice!
ReplyDeleteI also like the idea of arranging crochet squares into a pattern. Yep, I like your way of thinking!!!
You always end up with these matching posts! How is that? Is your wardrobe just as matched, I wonder... Mine is chaos. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Totally unorganized. After reading your letter (Thanks :D!)I have come to realize you are a bit of an organized lady. I guess you will use those crochet squares like mosaics... How clever is that!!! You amaze me darling. And I wonder why I didn't come up with that idea... Now I will probably turn into a boring copy cat...Big kiss. ♥♥♥ Annette
ReplyDeleteHet bloemenstofje vind ik prachtig en ik ben benieuwd hoe je haakwerk eruit gaat zien!!! knufzz...peebee
