Craft Group

thank you all very much for responding so nicely to the new design

and the new creJJtion Facebook account

your support makes me happy and smile for days

sharing inspiration and ideas on the web is great and I would not know how to live without it any more

but ~ nothing compares to the real thing

being able to enjoy and touch each others makes, see them with your own eyes

therefore I started a craft group with a bunch of creative and wonderful ladies

and yesterday was our first get together !

to celebrate the start of this craft group I made little treats for the ladies

a little piece of Spring looking fabric, some ribbon or lace and a washi tape decorated clothes pin

we enjoyed each others makes, drank tea, ate cake and chatted ~ of course

to sum it up, it was great fun

and the ladies came with great on-the-go-projects from quilts to a paper collage and a fabric art piece

as for me

I enjoyed every minute of it

and fell in love with the Cath Kidston case, the amazing embroidery thread color ranges and little Noah

thank you ladies for this wonderful afternoon, I am looking forward to seeing you again in two weeks

wishing you all an inspiring weekend !

  1. Oh wonderful, I used to host one, but stopped last summer break & didn't start up again.
Reading your lovely post has made me miss it, such a lovely time you had :)

  2. Just a lovely creative you the idea with the cloths pegs.❤
    Have a great weekend.

  5. Maaike this looks beautiful! (a)your pics are so pretty, and (b) who made that beautiful flowered pouch/case??? I think I maybe need to have one :)

  6. looks like a lot of creative fun...

  7. That does sound like fantastic fun. I don't have many friends who like to craft like I do. And haven't had time for the biweekly evening group I used to gather with. I need to find some washi tape. We actually have a Japanese store here but I don't know that I've seen the tape there. Must go there this week and check it out. The art quilt is amazing. Best wishes for a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  8. Beautiful photography Maaike :) The craft gathering looks wonderful. I know you all must've had an amazing time!

  9. What a great idea. Looks like you had alot of fun!

  10. Love the beautiful colours and your pictures!

  11. How nice. How come I wasn't invited???!!! Ha ha ha! I would have brought my paper piecing project. And I would have wanted some tea in the cup with pink roses on... And then I would have asked where to buy the CK bag to add to my other CK bag I have... They would have looked good together... I can tell you enjoyed yourself a lot, even though I wasn't there. :D Twink... Lovely. :) Annette

  12. Just came across this post...looks like a very fun (and inspiring!) afternoon! I LOOOOOVE that Noah's Ark quilt! And what did you work on??
