Sunday Goodies

welcome to our sunny Sunday

featuring the Miami Beach blanket in the making

and our lucky thrift store catches yesterday; cabinet, table cloth, cup and saucer and teapot

the table cloth has a Christmas related design

but the colors look so much like spring to me

matching the Miami Beach blanket

the cabinet ~ we might paint it in a fresh pastel blue, or green may be, what do you think?

do you paint thrift store furniture or do you prefer to keep it in the original color?

the China teapot in all it's glory

matching our new wallpaper accent

and I must admit that I have been working on the Miami Beach blanket

all week

I just had to add more rows every day

and I love it

~

happy Sunday to you too

  1. Oooh don't paint the cabinet, it's so pretty the way it is. Your blanket looks amazing, by the way.

  5. I usually say 'paint' it, but it does look so beautiful in the sun.

How lucky you are to have a lovely sunny sunday, it's been raining, sleeting and hailing here today.....

  6. Jouw kastje staat mooi bij de vloer zo... Maar, ik denk.... Blauw! My favorite colour. Mooi pastel blauw.
Je deken groeit prachtig. Verleidelijk hè, als je aan een mooi haakproject bezig bent? Dan wil je blijven haken!

The sideboard looks good as it is - but with your special touch anything is possible :-)

  8. Positively swooning over your blanket! What a thrift magic you have gathered. Normally I would just go 'Paint'without further thought, but that sideboard seems quite beautiful in the original state. Enjoy it all.

  10. Hi Maaike, when your home looks lovely bathed in that sunlight, and especially like the teapot your found, very elegant. The blanket is gorgeous you are a very clever girl. As for the cupboard I think I would paint it blue, nice soft blue!!! but whatever you do I am sure it will look great.

  11. Lovely finds, the teacup, saucer and teapot especially. The cabinet is lovely as it is. Painted in a pastel mint or blue it would go so well with the wall and wallpaper too. Oh such a difficult decision to make :)
