Finished Doily

a new doily finished, blocked and ready in all it's glory. this one is called Papyrus from the American Thread Co Star Doily book no 151, it is the largest one I have made so far. this one too has a little 3 dimensional touch with the flower petals standing up. I choose to give the flowers in the outer ring alternated white and pink petals. together with the Rose Ring doily, they are like two old ladies sitting on that bench. the pictures look almost black and white, don't they? ok, I'll add a little touch of color with my friend's pretty roses and my neon pink yarn basket.

  3. Beautiful! Just as good as my grandma used to make, and even better with your own creativity! I love your colors that you choose for your doilys. I aspire to be this talented someday, and make doilys as well. Your work is honestly an inspiration to me. Just lovely. :-)

  4. They are both just beautiful! Who would have though I'd ever find doilies so inspiring? I do though, these doilies of yours are wonderful and I'm going to have to try making some of my own some day.
